How to play Giga Snake

Small worm. Big plans.

Eat to grow, give your head room to move, and turn a good run into a place on the leaderboard.

Your first run

Choose a name and press Play for the online arena. Prefer to learn at your own pace? Choose Practice to play against AI without a game server. You can change your worm’s appearance before you start; skins and accessories are cosmetic.

Collect food to earn points. More points add length at your existing tail tip. The new pieces begin together at that point and spread along the path as you move forward—not backward behind your tail.

Desktop controls

Choose Keyboard / mouse steering on Home or in the game menu. Mouse aim is the default. Rotate uses Left/Right or A/D; Absolute uses arrows or WASD for eight directions. Releasing steering keys continues straight. Your choice is saved on this device.

Mouse
Point where you want your worm to turn.
Left click or Space
Hold to sprint. Sprint spends 5 score per second above 40 and leaves 5-point Regular food at your tail. At 40 or less sprint is free. You can eat your own drops. Spending score can lower your growth level.
Right click
Hold your current heading. Left click, move with the left button held, or tap the radar to resume steering.
Shift
Hold to crawl: slower movement and steady points, with no time limit and the same turning radius as normal movement. Crawl pays 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 points per second at growth levels 1–5. You cannot crawl while trapped; crawl resumes when an escape opens if you are still holding Shift. Crawl and sprint cannot run together.
Scroll, + or −
Adjust your zoom.
Menu, Esc or P
Open settings and the leave-game option. Practice pauses; an online run keeps moving.

Playing on a phone

Drag to steer with the on-screen controls. Lift your thumb to hold your current heading; touch again to resume. While heading is held, a gold arrow ahead of your worm and a short radar ray show the direction. Only you see these guides. Hold the Sprint or Crawl button for that movement mode. You can play in portrait or landscape; pick the orientation that gives you the clearest view. Touch settings are available from the menu.
